Genshin Impact 4.1 is scheduled to be released on September 27 and will run until November 8, with two phases lasting 21 days each. On September 27 the first phase began, while the second phase took place on October 18.

In this update, the Fontaine map will expand to the east, showing incomplete parts of the map. Reportedly, there will be a Fontaine prison area which has been discussed for a long time.

Genshin Impact update 4.1 will introduce two new characters, namely Wriothesley and Neuvillette. Wriothesley will be the Cryo Catalyst character, while Neuvilette will be the Hydro Catalyst character.

These two characters will appear separately in two different banner phases. The first phase will feature Wriothesley alongside Venti. Meanwhile, the second phase will feature Neuvilette with Hu Tao.
