Watch Dogs Legion Review – Back to Hack Here and There

Watch Dogs Legion – A franchise from Ubisoft which initially received criticism due to a massive downgrade in its first series, has turned out to be quite successful in sales and enthusiasts to this day. Initially, many gamers were disappointed with the Watch Dogs series, which at the time of the trailer made their expectations high, which in the end, when the game was released, it didn’t turn out as expected. However, Ubisoft proved various improvements from all aspects in the sequel Watch Dogs 2 and also the newest Watch Dog, namely Legion. As is usually the case with Ubisoft in several games such as Assassin’s Creed which fluctuate in quality, Watch Dogs is like that. This latest series is a breath of fresh air for us in the midst of a pandemic like this.

Unlike previous games, the Watch Dogs Legion series takes place in a future London. Apart from that, Ubisoft also wants to take advantage of ray tracing technology in this game. As a result, this game is not only one of the games that gets praise in terms of gameplay, but also because its graphics are often used as a benchmark for graphics cards with the latest ray tracing such as the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3000 or AMD Radeon RX 6000. For those of you who are curious about the gameplay aspect, the storyline , as well as the graphics offered by Ubisoft in one of their newest games, it just so happens that we, Game Friends, will be discussing this game with an open world concept in this article. Watch Dogs Legion storyline

This time, the setting for the third installment of Watch Dogs is in London in the future. You will be faced with futuristic technology in the British capital. Here, you will play a main character named Dalton Wolfe, a hacker from a collective called DedSec who is fighting for freedom in the city. One night, a mysterious figure named Zero Day attacked the city of London. The figure installed several explosives in several locations and made Dalton have to stop the active bomb. However, instead of getting lucky, after turning off the explosives, DedSec was even considered to be the culprit of this problem.

As a result, a company called Albion tried its luck to become a hero from the terror that occurred in the city of London. The company designed various systems with advanced technology to monitor DedSec who became the scapegoat for all the terror that occurred in the city of London. To restore it all, DedSec is accompanied by Sabine Brandt to uncover the mystery of the terror that occurred in the city of London.

Gameplay and Graphics

Basically, this third sequel to Watch Dogs still carries the gameplay from the previous series. As in previous games, you will play as a member of a hacker collective called DedSec. You will find the city of London in the future full of futuristic technology that is still quite related to the current situation. There are no flying cars like those in futuristic themed films. This game still uses the open-world concept which frees you to go around the corners of London.

You will also find graffiti of protests from people who support DedSec and reject the existence of Albion, which instead controls the entire city of London. Plus, Ubisoft was quite successful in designing the city of London in this game with famous landmarks such as the Big Ben clock and Buckingham Palace. Even though this game made by Ubisoft doesn’t offer many new elements in terms of gameplay, Watch Dogs Legion presents a new aspect that allows you to play many NPC characters that you can recruit throughout the game’s journey.

As a game that uses ray-tracing technology in full, Watch Dogs Legion is one of the games that has become a benchmark for the latest games besides Cyberpunk 2077. When you turn on the ray-tracing option in this game, you will find very realistic reflections and shadows. Especially for those of you who have high-end PCs, you can get graphics with ray-tracing technology of the highest quality. For those of you who have just bought a PS5 or Xbox Series S, you don’t need to be jealous because this game has cool graphics, although not as detailed as a PC with right alignment settings.

Watch Dogs Legion is one of the opening games for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X which is quite fun despite some of its flaws. This one game is very exciting to play. But compared to the second series, for us this game is still below it.
