GoPro Hero 12 Black Comes With Double The Battery Power And Bluetooth Audio Recording

GoPro has announced its newest action camera, the Hero 12 Black. While there are a number of small improvements over its predecessor, the Hero 11 Black, the most notable is the significant increase in battery life.

Incredible Battery Power Increase

In 5.3K60 recording mode, the Hero 12 can record for 70 minutes on one battery charge, while the Hero 11 Black can only last for 35 minutes. Surprisingly, this improvement doesn’t come from a larger battery – the battery capacity is still 1,720 mAh, so GoPro has certainly made a dramatic improvement in battery power consumption.

It is worth noting that if you record in 5.3K30 mode, the maximum endurance is 1.5 hours, and in 1080p30 mode, it can reach “more than 2.5 hours”. You can also record in resolutions up to 5.3K60, 4K120, and 2.7K240.

Bluetooth Support for Audio Recording

One significant addition is Bluetooth support, which allows you to record audio simultaneously via Bluetooth earbuds or headphones. This is the second improvement worth noting.

Max Lens Mod 2.0 and Additional Features

The third improvement is the presence of Max Lens Mod 2.0. With it installed, the camera’s field of view increases from 156 degrees to an incredible 177 degrees in 4K60 resolution, which, according to GoPro, is the best in the industry.

This camera also supports HDR videos and photos. You can take 27MP resolution photos and 24.7MP screenshots from videos. Like its predecessor, the Hero 12 is water resistant to a depth of 10 meters.

With Emmy Award-winning HyperSmooth 6.0 + AutoBoost technology, you can shoot with the best video stability, and the integrated Horizon Lock feature keeps the horizon level even when the camera rotates a full 360 degrees (this feature is not available in 5.3K60, 4K120, 2.7K240, and 1080p240).

Additional Orders and Accessories

The GoPro Hero 12 Black can be ordered on the GoPro website for $399.99 or €449.99. You can get Max Lens Mod 2.0 for $99.99 or €109.99. The release date is September 13.

In addition, there will be a 48-inch extension wand that can be folded up to 10 inches, as well as a waterproof Bluetooth remote shutter that makes it easier to control the Hero 12 even when the extension wand is in use. GoPro’s Quik editing app will be available for Mac starting in November, and for Windows PC starting next summer. It will be provided free of charge to GoPro customers.

The GoPro Hero 12 Black brings a number of significant improvements, especially in terms of dramatically improved battery life. With the addition of Bluetooth features and Max Lens Mod 2.0, this action camera is ready to provide a better and more creative recording experience for users.

With a reasonable price, the Hero 12 Black is an attractive choice for photography and video lovers. So, don’t miss the opportunity to own this latest action camera and enjoy the various advanced features it offers.
