Tech News – Ahead of the release of Android 14, Google updated the Android logo design with a more modern look. This new design comes several years after it was last updated in 2019. Google says the main goal of the redesign is to help connect Android with Google.
The Android text logo now starts with an uppercase letter for the first letter of the alphabet. This adds weight to the logo and makes it look good next to the Google logo. Previously, Google used lowercase letters for the Android text logo.
In addition, the Android logo with a robot face now has a three-dimensional appearance. Google says they drew inspiration from the Material You design language for this new logo. This update simultaneously complements Google’s color palette and adapts to a variety of colors, similar to Material You.
In its official blog post, Google said that every time it overhauls branding, Google not only evaluates changing needs, but also future goals. Google knows that today’s society wants more choice and autonomy. Because of this, Google wants its brand to reflect Android.
The Android robot also known as bugdroid has received a new look. Now it has a three-dimensional view. Google says this gives the robot more dimension, and more character.
Inspired by Material You, this full-sized Android robot can adapt to a variety of materials, textures and even has accessories. Users will start seeing this new Android logo this year in a variety of places, including smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, and smartTVs.
