Tech News – Apple plans to release four iPhone 15 models at its September 12, 2023 launch event. Of the four devices, they are reportedly the same size as the iPhone 14 models, including two iPhones with 6.1-inch screens and two iPhones with 6.7-inch screens.
One of the 6.1-inch iPhones will be the standard iPhone 15, while one of the 6.7-inch models will be the iPhone 15 Plus. Meanwhile, the other 6.1 and 6.7-inch iPhones will be Pro models, which are more advanced and more expensive.
As with the iPhone 14 or 14 Pro lineup, the best features will be provided for the iPhone 15 Pro model and of course at a commensurate additional cost.
One of the features that this new iPhone will bring is a USB-C port which will replace the Lightning port on all iPhone 15 models. Then there is also Dynamic Island which will be available for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus in addition to the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max. That means Apple will be doing away with the notch it has used since the iPhone X.
In addition, Apple is also rumored to be using Qualcomm’s modem chip for new devices because the modem chip itself that is being developed is not quite ready. The standard iPhone 15 models will get an upgrade to the A16 chip found in the iPhone 14 Pro models. Meanwhile, the iPhone 15 Pro model will use the faster and more efficient 3-nanometer A17 chip.
The Pro model is also expected to get an upgrade to the titanium frame, slimmer bezels, and some minor design changes with the device’s more curved edges. Meanwhile, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is also expected to get periscope lens technology to increase zoom capabilities.
Prices for the iPhone 15 models are expected to remain the same, with the standard 6.1-inch entry-level devices starting at USD 799 or around Rp. 12.2 million and the 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Plus starting at USD 899 or around Rp. 13.7 million.
So what exactly are the features and specifications that will be embedded in the iPhone 15 Series? Here Tech News summarizes from various sources a number of features on the iPhone 15.
