News – Samsung, through its newest foldable cellphones, namely the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Flip5, presents interesting features for capturing images in low light or minimal lighting conditions.
Both foldable cellphones offer a Night mode feature so that the atmosphere in any light condition can be captured in photos and videos with clearer results.
Apart from the Night Mode feature, the ability to capture images in low light conditions is also supported by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy Octa-Core (4nm) 3.36 GHz chipset, which is higher than the standard version.
The chipset is said to technically offer a 25% GPU, 20% NPU and 17% CPU increase compared to the previous generation. Then it is also supported by AI processing which is better than the standard version. Samsung also provides 3 tips for creating attractive photos and videos in low light conditions with the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Flip5.
Keep Hyperlapse Content Bright
Both the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Flip5 are capable of producing hyperlapse content in minimal lighting conditions by using the Night Mode feature and also activating the hyperlapse feature.
The Galaxy Z Flip5 has Night Mode which can be enhanced with AI processing. Night mode with AI can be turned on easily by selecting the Night menu on the camera.
Apart from that, you can also use the hyperlapse feature to record exciting moments that you want to capture, such as selfie videos with a scenic background. This hyperlapse feature is also embedded in the Galaxy Z Fold 5.
To activate the hyperlapse feature on the Galaxy Z Fold 5, simply access the camera application on the main screen. Then swipe the screen to the left and select the More menu, then select the Hyperlapse feature. Activate the Cover Screen Preview menu which is located in the top right corner of the screen. Next, you can fold the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and adjust the desired angle and record.
Expert RAW for Landscape Photos
Interestingly, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 offers a choice of file types for photos and videos with Pro, Pro Video and Expert RAW options. You can choose Expert RAW to produce stunning landscape and architectural photos at night.
Apart from that, you can also take landscape and architectural photos at night using Expert RAW mode with Flex Mode. If you use these settings, a special layout will appear next to the shutter button menu to be able to select the Pro/Pro Video/Expert RAW feature.
To produce photos and videos with Expert RAW, you can start by activating Flex Mode. Then adjust the ISO to a low number (100-200). Next, set the camera shutter speed to slow and adjust the aperture so that the photo looks more perfect. That way the results can be edited without having to worry about the photo resolution dropping.
Produce Long-Exposure Photos at Night
With the Galaxy Z Fold 5, you can also take night pictures with a cool look like using long exposure. Long exposure on the Galaxy Z Fold 5 allows you to produce photos with a combination of taking photos of still and moving objects in one frame.
To take long exposure photos, you also have to activate the night mode and Expert RAW features. But first, if you don’t have a tripod, you have to position the Galaxy Z Fold 5 in Flex Mode so that the image isn’t blurry.
After that in the camera application you can select the lowest ISO. Then select an aperture with a small aperture, namely f/11, f/16 or f/22. Next use a low shutter speed of 15 seconds or 30 seconds. Furthermore, when the light source starts to move, tap the shutter button to capture the image.
